Tennis Virgins has moved again, this time to Sussex University courts at Falmer. Access is via Mill St, Falmer BN1 9PE. Continue along Mill St and turn left into Ridge Road, the car park is 100m on left hand side opposite ‘the old police station’.
We will be starting with a 4 week Rusty Racquets programme starting on Tuesday 6 June from 7.30-8.30pm. Coaching is provided by Keelan Oakley a professional tennis coach who also coaches the BLAGSS Intermediate group. 4 courts are available for up to 16 players.
Tennis Virgins is a friendly, relaxed group which welcomes ‘rusty players’ and improvers alike. It is a perfect place for people who have not played tennis in a while or for those who do not feel they have the skills or confidence necessary to join the BLAGSS Tennis group. The sessions are not suitable for absolute beginners who have not played before.
Players will need to bring their own racquet and there will be an opportunity to play games after the coaching finishes, while it is still light.
The cost of each session is £7.20 which is not refundable. In the event of bad weather players will be advised by email and an alternative date arranged.

Our goal is to provide basic instruction and coaching to help players get to a level where they can confidently participate in the regular group or play on a club level (e.g. understanding of the game and ability to hit the ball over the net and serve properly). We play a mixture of drills/games both singles and doubles, depending on how many attend.
Coaching is provided by a professional tennis coach.
