How we play

On Tuesdays we have exclusive of the Brighton Girls sports hall with three courts for doubles. On Wednesdays we have two courts in the larger Moulsecoomb Leisure Centre hall.

It's an informal set up - when a court becomes free, hop on and see who has joined you on court. Club regulars will have a general idea of the level of different players, and may suggest particular parings for an evenly matched game. We mix and match different games as players come off court.

Most players bring their own racquets, but we do have a few available to borrow if you're new to badminton or visiting Brighton. We supply plastic shuttles.

What it costs

Court fees: We charge £8 per session which covers the cost of hiring the hall for two hours. On Wednesdays this is split £5.75 to BLAGSS and £2.25 directly to the leisure centre (or £18.70 annually).

New to BLAGSS? Non-members are welcome to join us on Wednesdays. Tuesday sessions are currently at capacity so unfortunately we are unable to welcome any new players. You can attend your first session without an annual BLAGSS membership - just drop us an email at badminton@blagss.uk so we know to expect you, and bring a card to pay for the session.

Returning players: If you enjoyed the session and want to come back you'll need to sign up as a BLAGSS member and register for each session using the options below. Payments are non-refundable, but are transferable.

Regular players: At the start of each month you'll be able to pay for the whole month in advance using an option below. For committing to the month you'll get a 25% discount, which means even if you miss a session you won't be out of pocket.
