Pickleball

Pickleball - one of the fastest growing sports

What is Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net.

Where we play

Sessions are held at Stanley Deason Leisure Centre, Wilson Avenue, Brighton on Monday evenings from 7.30-9pm.

Play restarts in September 2024 with four courts available until June 2025. We usually take a break in July and August each year but in response to demand we are going to play throughout the summer.

How we play

Pickleball is played on a badminton court and generally we use four courts. Sessions are limited to 20 players who mix around and change partners and opponents every 15 mins.

Paddles (rackets/bats) and balls are available for use.

What it costs

Sessions cost £5.00 payable in advance. Refunds are not available if you are unable to attend, however your slot could be used by someone else which you could arrange privately.

A Whats App group is available to keep up to date with the latest information and could be used to reallocate your space to a friend if you wish. To join this group message Rob on 07718 130246.
