We arrange rides throughout the year. Our programme aims to please both leisure riders and those looking for something faster, more mileage and challenging hills.  


Bramber via Downs Link - Monday 15 April

Starting Point

This ride is on Monday 15 April 2024 and starts from the Brighton Palace Pier, Madeira Drive at 10:00. The ride really will be starting at 10:00, so please be ready to ride at this time.

Route

This ride will go along the seafront up to Shoreham where we will pick up the Downs Link. We will then follow the link, alongside of the river Adur to Bramber for refreshments at the Castle Inn. We will then do the return journey back to the pier.

Duration

The ride will take about three hours including the stop for refreshments.

Terrain

This ride will be on paved roads and the gravel surface of the Downs Link.

Suitable Bicycles

Most bicycles will be fine on this ride. For the gravel section you’ll need decent tyres in good condition. Very high performance bicycles with thin high pressures tyres will not be suitable. E-bikes are welcome.

Pace

The pace of this ride will be leisurely, we are not out to prove anything or win any awards.

Additional Notes

Always check over your bicycle before you go for a ride in particular check your brakes are working properly.

Bike and Boom - Sunday 5th May

 

Starting Point

This social ride is on Sunday 05 May 2024 and starts from the Peace Statue in Hove at 10:00am. 

The Peace Statue is on Kingsway on the Hove seafront, it is just a little bit west of the Brighton Beach Bandstand. Officially the Peace Statue is called the Angel of Peace, here is the link for it at Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/Pb3FFzB9nyZAhiiK7).

Route

The ride goes along the seafront from the Peace Statue to BN42 4NH .( an industrial estate in Fishersgate). We  will spend 1.5 hours at the Bike Boom sale before heading to Lady Bee Marina for lunch at The Newport Arms . BN42 4EG 

Length and Duration

This ride is approx 7 miles in length. It will take about four hours to complete including one and half hours for lunch and one and a half hours at the Bike Boom sale. 

Terrain

For this ride you will be cycling on the road, so you will need to be confident with that.

Suitable Bicycles

Any kind of bike is suitable. E-bikes are welcome.

Pace

The pace of this ride will be leisurely, we are not out to prove anything or win any awards.

Additional Event Details : Every first Sunday of the month we hold a bike jumble at Bike Boom! 

Located near Fishersgate station, use google for to get to Bike Boom if you are unfamiliar with the area, we are tucked away in an industrial estate, postcode BN42 4NH.

Loads of bikes of every type for sale. Tons of bicycle parts and accessories on offer at great prices.
